Your First Visit to a Abrazo Advanced Imaging

Going to one of Abrazo Advanced Imaging Facilities is very similar to going to your regular doctor's office.

Before the Test

Check in with the front desk--we recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to give you ample time. Staff members will ask you to complete registration forms and take a copy of your insurance card. If you have a copay, it will be collected at this time.

A technologist will call you from the reception area and take you back to the exam room. Because of the limited space in these rooms, we ask that family members remain in the reception area. One exception is if you are being seen for an obstetric or pregnancy ultrasound. Your family members will be able to see the images of the baby--then escorted back to the reception area for the remainder of the test.

During the Test
This can vary depending on the examination requested. Our outpatient clinics perform everything from x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and bone density testing, to nuclear medicine and fluoroscopy. Review our Procedures and Services descriptions for more information about what to expect during these procedures.

After the Test
Your test results will not be available immediately, but will be sent to your physician in 1-2 working days. We recommend that you call your physician office by the third day after your test, to find out the results. Also, you may want to make an appointment with your physician to discuss the examination results.
